For fifty years, countless Sufi disciples from all over the world have made the humble trek to a hidden, rustic villa in Lefke, Cyprus, where the global head of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Sufi Order awaits. A unique specialty of this Sufi Order is the accumulated spiritual knowledge and secret powers passed from Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through a chain of Sufi masters that spans forty generations, reaching Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqani. This subtle master wipes away the worldly stains of his disciples, heals their scars from battles waged against the ego, and renews their connection to the divine. He also restores their mind/body/spirit balance and provides them priceless "maintenance instructions" in the form of ancient Sufi practices. Blessed seekers reluctantly depart Mawlana Shaykh's loving and illumined presence, leaving an island sanctuary that is often described as "Heaven on Earth." In 2008, for the first time Mawlana Shaykh Nazim requested his representative, the author of this book, to deliver inspired spiritual talks (suhbahs) for his visitors. Those suhbahs are based on highly guarded notes of the Naqshbandi Sufi masters, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and his spiritual guide, Grandshaykh `AbdAllah al-Fa'iz ad-Daghestani of Damascus (d. 1973). Hence, the Cyprus Summer Series was born guiding seekers of the Divine Way through print and electronic media.
